gate valves are a finer adjustment than ball...

you only need a skimmer in there, nothing else, avoid a dsb, add a powerhead to the main tank. i lost all my pics of it, and now its a FW planted tank (my gf wanted FW and i have 2 other SW tanks)

i have a 46 drilled with a 1" drian and a 10 gal...
i have a 46 drilled with a 1" drian and a 10 gal under the stand. orks great, and you can still fit a heater and an asm mini skimmer in there too. i used a mag 5 return pump
