I Havent used the biomedia, but live rock is totally up to you and what you prefer. For instance, I have 275lbs in my 72 reef and about 100lbs in my 150.........its all about what you like.

I would worry about the inverts and clams more than small fish. Triggers in the wild eat these things all day......the corals I think would be fine.....but you never know, its all about the fish.
