Anything you add to feed the bacteria...

Anything you add to feed the bacteria (zeo/prodibio/vodka/sugar) will also feed cyano, since it is bacterium as well... you will have to suspend or adjust the dosage or just syphon those suckers...

Anyone experienced this? couple of months ago I noticed some strange behaviour with my tuka's the males went round and round the females..... there were doing this every fewdays about an hour or so...

RO/DI users....

How many gallons of use do you get out of your DI filter on average? The water comes out at 8ppm out of RO and 0 out of DI, so DI is pulling about 8ppm out... just trying to estimate the change out...

Check for silicates.... If the prefilter is yellow it is past time to change it... It is probably loading your water with silicates and destroying your membrane in the process.

I don't do anything much different, I feed them 3-4 times a day, they are in with other anthias, the males seem to hold their own, the females are a bit more skittish, I have had them for a little...
