So....I picked up a nice pair of Percs at PetCo last night. They were so cute, and only $17 each.
I acclimated them, and then purposely dumped them near my big old BTA, hoping they'd go for it....

The ALK kit I have gives readings in mg/l. mg/l is the same as ppm, right? And 50 ppm is about equal to 2.8 dKH? Right?
So 190 ppm is about the same as 10.6 dKH?

It this a glass tank or acrylic? Glass is far more forgiving with respect to bottom support. A glass tank will prolly be ok unless it's way off.
