What kind of heater did you have? I have a Via Aqua Titanium that works great! I had two cheap Renas that would over heat my tank, would never get one of those again.

Someday... I would like to do two seaswirls coming off my return pump from my fuge. These keep your water moving and create random flow, plus they won't add any heat to you tank.

I have been looking around a little and you can buy aquacultured queen conchs. They are supposed to be pretty hardy as long as you can keep them fed.

I bought a conch from Jon and it is doing a great job of cleaning my sand, you could move it back and forth from main tank to fuge. Such a weird creature. I enjoy watching it.
