I'll take a giovanni's Bronx bomber as my pizza of choice. I also like chops, not as pricey as mortons or ruths chris, but they serve a nice slab of aged meat. I love their prime rib sandwich for a lunchtime treat.
33rd st bistro and paesanos are a couple of the establishments I frequent as they have great food, good portions, and prices and environment to match. That is one reason I bought in East Sac; so close to downtown and the resturaunts.

If you are looking to have a fun time, with good food, and a place that is great to take a lady friend I might suggest Benihana. The meal is good, the prices aren't that bad and the atmosphere is a blast. They cook your food in front of you NINJA style

I am also a huge fan of Scott's seafood which is always dependable for a nice seaffod meal. I suggest their calamari

Was not a fan of Benihana.

I forgot about Scott's. Love Scotts my wifes favorite meal is there. It's the swordfish. the whole thing is incredible.

Its a Swordfish on a rice cake and also comes with a very little grilled half avocado with a mango chutnee in the hole of the avocado. It could be my favorite also!

I went to the Melting Pot a while back and enjoyed it.

Squeeze In make a dang fine burger

I've been on a Boudin SF kick lately

Though an odd place for it, Leatherby's makes a excellent crab sandwich that I crave thinking about it.

But perhaps the Waterboy was the best meal I had out in Sacramento.

I hated Hamburger Mary's I had heard great things but that was not a tasty burger. MMM How i like a Tasty Burger. My GF is a Vegetarian which pretty much makes me a vegetarian. But i do like a Tasty burger

If you vencher out a little Big A's in grass valley is good and also Nations in Vacaville!

Re: Burgers

If you don't mind going across the river, check out Whitey's Jolly Cone on Jefferson in West Sac. Better yet go in the summer time when you can have a fresh peace milkshake with your "Special"

We used to have a place called merlino's (sp?) Shut down some time ago but their still is a little trailer on stockton blvd. that sells orange, strawberry, and pineapple freezes (other food too) using the original recipe. The location is across the street of the old fair grounds on stockton blvd. Also luigi's pizza is near by and worth a visit too!-)

Doug, I always knew there was something about you. We went there for my wifes birthday a couple years ago and it had to be my worst experience of all time. Service was terrible, food was equally as bad and in the middle of our meal, which we had reservations for, they asked to to move because a bigger party was coming in. They didn't even comp anything for our hassle.

Ok, sorry about the negative rant. I saw that and I could not stop typing.

Original perry's if you never been there order items with the american flags next to them also make sure to order a complete meal. It will include dessert and choice of beverage. The place is a truck stop. They are open 24/7.

Merlino's closed but re-opened with the same food and freeze recipies under the name Hagen's. This guy and his wife worked there for years and have kept the tradition going at the original location, Walnut and El Camino in Carmichael.

They've been talking about closing the p circus for a while. Hit them up sooner than later. I am a good eater but a full stack is to much!-)
