Gary,
I will add a post soon. Maybe today. Need to get a decent picture of my tank.
This is a great thread and does just what you intended to.

Name: Nico DeWilde
Occupation: Control Systems Engineering Supervisor
Hobby Experience: Fresh water 10y, Reef 5years
Aquarium Setup:
  • 29 Gallon Mixed Reef
  • HOB filter Aquaclear 50 with carbon
  • Skimmer Prizm with surface skimmer
  • Koralia 3
  • 250W MH 12K Reefflux w/ e-ballast
  • 20W NO actinic

Passion for the hobby: Besides the satisfaction of watching the corals and fish grow. It also is a nice way for me and my boys(3) to spend time together. Going to LFS's, frag waps or just admiring the tank.
Why do you value URS: Before I knew about this group, I extracted my information from LFS's; obscure reef sites and some books from the library, not always with the desired outcome .
URS opened the doors to a wealth of experience and information, that helped my tank to look the way it does today.

Memorable Moments: the Seneca Zoo event last spring, seeing Anthony Calfo in action.

Them were some crappy pics. corals are closed due to lights out for a couple hours, and glass is dirty. mind the bad pic taking.

*Why do you have a passion for this hobby: I have no idea. Always been fascinated with aquatic life though.
*Why do you value URS: Always a place to ask questions, and people actually give answers.
*Memorable Moments-Note URS events or interactions with members that have been satisfying to you, have enhanced your husbandy or were just plain fun: none sadly...
