Im a BC guy myself. Have the BC29 and love it. Oceanic is superior over AP and JBJ without a doubt. Obviously you pay more for a better product.

You went DIY crazy, lol. IMO way overdone and not pleasing to the eye. Looks more like a crazy scientist and his experiement. Reef aquariums should be nice to look at as well as functional.

Bio balls are fine. ITs when you combine them with live rock that will give you nitrate problems. Some of the most successful FO tanks run on wetdrys alone. Ive seen many great tanks like this. IMO...
