FWIW That does nothing for osmotic regulation. The animals tissues have to balance their salt content according to the salinity of the water they are in.

Reeflux 12k's look great, but w/ 24" depth I'd go w/ a 10k lamp for the extra PAR. FWIW the reeflux 10k's are a fair amount brighter than the 12k's and still look decent.
