Nope you can never have a to big of a skimmer. Plus if you upgrade your tank you will not have to upgrade your skimmer.

Tyler here is a pic on what I'm using. I drilled and tapped a barb fitting bellow so all the ozone is sucked into the skimmer. When the ozone goes off the skimmer is still able to suck air in.

No not that I noticed! The quad is the only one to date with larger plumbing on it. For the money this skimmer can not be beat!

I have a small submersible pump that runs in the sump where my overflows dump into. The area is baffled so most of the overflow water is fed into the skimmer. The pump is rated @ 500Gph
