Tunze Turbelle Nanostream ?

Hey,
Has anyone have or seen these? What are they like? Im starting up a 40gallon long, and im deciding on two seios 820 or 2 of those nanostreams 6025. What do you guys think? are there any higher upgrades on these?
thanks

Just got 2 for my 75 g corner. They are compact and quiet. The 6045 and 6055 are supposed to be released later in the year if you don't mind waiting. Tunze vs Seio is no contest in my mind as regards quality and durability. In addition, the Nanostreams come with magnetic mounts included.

Do they do the same output than that seio 820s? Or more? Would a mag 9.5 return/ and two tunze would be enough flow? Or two much(for a 40g long)
thanks

I am having the same problem. It's going to be 2 weeks on Saturday and I have them running nonstop.

Mine are not silent like Eheim powerheads, but not particularly loud either. I hear a faint rattling when I am within a few feet of the tank. Otherwise, not detectable. My flow back into the sump makes more noise than the nanostreams....

i'm guessing the sounds aren't from the pumps themselves, but from the mounts. i switched two pumps from their holders, and the one on the left kept the rattling noise. this one was mounted on a falsewall which wasn't cleaned of coraline so i'm guessing thats the problem.

the noise mine is making is coming from the pump. i removed it from the mount to see if that was the problem but it still makes noise.

Mine are dead silent w/ good flow.
The impellers do make a little rattle whenever I startup the pumps.

I have two on my 75 and they are dead silent now. A little noise from one when it was first installed but it stopped after a day or so.

I have had mine for nearly a month now and they have settled down to being silent, aside from a little rattling at startup. Seems to be a good product.

I too am intrested. I am planning on 2 - 6025 for my SPS 60 cube. Would that be enough flow or would it be better to go with 2 seios 620 wih the new controller?

thanx

I dont know man...thats 20x turnover from just the two nano streams. With his return pump he will have another 10x or so. I think that is plenty of flow.

in my 60 i have 2 6025s and a SEIO. replacing the SEIO with another 6025. I think 3 is great for an SPS tank. 2 would be perfect for lps or softies.

edit: realized you have a 60 cube. 2 would be better on that size tank with a reasonable return pump.

also the SEIO controller only works on 1100s and up.

Damn it....

I thought the new controller would work on all seios...

I've got a cube, 24x24x24. What kind of return pump should I go with. I currently have a quite one HH 3000. Im planing on adding a scwd.

the QO 3000 would work great. the SCWD cuts down a lot of the flow, but with 2 nanostreams you should have good flow for SPS.
