Nice one Sang. Picture doesn't do justice. You really got to see this bright coral in person. Here's shot of my orange m. danae.

Agreed, my setosa is a little more of a pinkish hue to it.

Nice, Sang.

Thanks guys! I think it looks similar to Eric's monti but I do not think it's the same one. This particular monti doesn't have the nodules growing from it. The bumps are real smooth in nature and I don't forsee any spikes or nodules growing on it. I did see the small colony Atlantis has and it does look similar to that one. I reserve the right to be totally wrong though

Yup, agreed, Sang has the killer stuff .

I saw the pic naka posted earlier in another thread and was struck by the brightness of this coral. I thought it was awesome then andcontinue to think so. It will be interesting to see how these two pieces grow up . Good find for both of you.

Lets see...catchy name...hmmmmm, something ghoulish in honor of Halloween, the orange goblin, the orange devil? Oh I don't know I am just not that good with the whole naming end of things. Come on guys let's get some ideas out here for a name for this little lovely.

Hehe, you guys are too funny! I just found out that it is most definitely not the same piece as from Eric or Atlantis. Mike Paletta commented that he has never seen a piece like this and that he thinks it's a danae. The color is really a metallic orange and just positively glows in the tank, even when the lights are off!

Here's my Setosa.

They do have several growth forms, but Sang's definitely looks more Danae, it's a beauty!

Yes, that is the same one I saw at Atlantis. Awesome coral!! I really wanted a frag of it but Ming wasn't there at the time. It is definitely a different coral than the one I have posted. Rays, may I ask where you got yours from?
