blue housing dart question

should I avoid the blue housing? or only buy the black housing?

they dont make the blue housing anymore. I heard there were problems with the blue ones.
I would stay with the black housing darts.

it is only bc I was going to order one from marinedepot but they only sell the blue housing.

the pic is blue but the pump will have a black one. They stopped making those a couple years ago, they actually have a better motor (Baldor) but the manufacturer discontinued that size motor so they switched to a AO smith motor.

Either way it's no worries, they replaced my blue housing for free (mine has been fine for over a year but they sent me a black housing just in case). The blue barracuda housings were more the problem because they had a longer volute that tended to crack They have some of the best customer service I've experienced in any industry =)

I have extra black housing DART for $175 + pickup. I got it from another reefer who used it for 9 months. I tested it but never used it. Could not upscale yet
