Lubbock's Wrasse

Just looking for some input/experiences on these. Considering one for my 18g. Are they active fish, or do they hide most of the time?

Ive had one for about 8 months now and its never hiding...always weaving in and out of the rocks...but IMO an 18G is not large enough to keep this fish happy...mine is always all over my 55g tank...

do you have a link? We're in the reef fishes forum. They are very small fish, so why not?

My Lubbock's was my very first marine fish, I love him to pieces. He's been with me through all my newbie mistakes, put up with more than any fish should ever have to, and despite it all has one of the sunniest dispositions I've seen on a fish.
I started out with a 14g and a very small wrasse. Within a few months I upgraded to a 30g and noticed over time that as he grew, even this wasn't enough room -- he was fairly spooky, even banged his head on the glass top a few times. The last straw came recently, when I came in the room and it was enough to frighten him into jumping through a tiny hole between the lid and the filter, onto the glass lid and then into the little HOB fuge. Now he's 3" long and lives in my 65g and I'm seeing an entirely different fish. If a fish can appear relaxed, he does -- the tank is in a busier area of the apartment but rather than being fearful he's curious about everything, constantly swimming about in the open and checking things out until he's satisfied everything is in order.
JMO, think of these guys as somewhat similar to anthias -- they prefer multiple daily feedings and more room than you'd think at first.
