FS Kill-a-Watt meters, delivery at BAR meeting

We had ordered a couple of meters a few weeks ago and got shipped 17 more than we ordered. I already contacted the shipper and he has offerred to pay for my time and expenses to repackage and ship the meters back to him. The other option was to get these meters at his cost, which comes out to be roughly $22.

These are brand new, still in their original packaging. They are the P3 International P4400 units. Here is the product home page :

http://www.p3international.com/produ.../P4400-CE.html

These are the same units that everyone refers to on RC and sell on Ebay as the Kill-a-Watt meters.

If I can get enough interest in these then I will keep the box of meters and sell them to our members at the discounted price (I saw one or two places that sell them a little cheaper on Ebay, until you add in the shipping that is). If not, then I will just ship them back to the seller. It all works out about the same for me.

I can deliver the meters at the BAR meeting on 6/10 and will accept payment then (advance PayPal is not necessary). I only want to pre-allocate the majority of these before I decide to keep them to sell to our members (I don't want to get stuck with any "extras", I already bought and paid for 3 and don't need any more... and we ended up paying more than the $22 each for our units).

I'll take one, though I can't make it to the BAR meeting. If someone who lives close to Berkeley can pick it up at the meeting, let me know!!

kinetic if someone can pick it up for him

That is 9 confirmed, 1 tentative and 7 left to go

Patio,

I did both. I plugged my lighting timer strip into one and let it run for 48 hours, divided that KWH result by 2 and multiplied that by 30 to give me an average month;s KWH cost. I multiple that by the highest billing rate, which is .35 per KWH and our lights costs us around $120 per month to run (uuggghh)
I also plugged individual equiptment into it to see how close the rated amp draw was to reality as well as how air valve restriction impacted the load on our eheim nw pumps on our skimmer. Also our skimmer has 2 recirc pumps and 1 feed pump, they are all on their own strip, so I could judge the wattage for using the skimmer (that came out to about $35 per month, I think, I don't remember exact numbers now).

I actually bought 3 ourselves, so that I could check multiple appliances and equipment. I had suspected our refrigerator of being too inefficient (been making alot of noise lately and I suspected compressor issues). While I now still suspect compressor issues, the fridge itself was let run for almost a week on the meter and averages about $20 per month to operate, and that using the highest KWH prices.

That is from our 300% + tier, which is our top one. I will dig out our last electric bill and post the tiers and prices later on this afternoon for our area.

To all,

I am only able to deliver to the BAR meeting. I don't want to ship or deliver these individually. Again, the only reason I have these for sale is that they were shipped to me by accident and the seller/shipper offerred to sell them at his cost versus paying to ship them back (he also admitted to me what we already pretty much knew, that his profits more or less all came from his shipping costs). As it stands we will be losing money since with gas prices and our Expedition gas mileage it will cost roughly $35 for us to drive there and back. We originally didn't plan to attend the June meeting since I was a licensed Commercial Electrical Journeyman Wireman in Florida, Georgia and Alaska for 11 years before I got into computers (yes, I travelled and worked in all 3 states). So this meetings topic was not one of extreme interest to me

The irony is that this months meeting is about things electrical , so I guess at least the timing worked out good.
