Picnic Location - What Has Been Found

Hi All,

Wendi and Brian have been calling around for information about reserving a pavillion to host our club picnic on July 29th. So far they have found all parks in the GR area charge $115 to use a pavillion. Obviously this is a charge none of us were expecting. What is everyone's thought?

Does anyone have any alternate locations? Anyone have a friend/family member with a warehouse/pole barn we can use? Most of the pavillions are already booked up so we need to book one by the end of this week so we do not miss out. Figure we need room for probably about 30 cars, 60 people and be handicap accessible.

Also, Ed (our Treasurer) has a 12'x12' pop up canopy we can use. He also has a large covered trailer available. The trailer is not available the weekend of July 29th as Ed will be out of town. In order to use the trailer we would have to switch our date. The canopy he said we can use at anypoint. What is everyone's thoughts? Anyone else have a canopy like this?

Need to get this figured out. Also keep in mind, other expenses we are planning is the items we buy to give away to members. Also remember this event is only for paid members.

Any suggestions/ideas are greatly appreciated. If at all possible we would love to avoid spending the money on a park but we have to decide soon.

Scott

Scott, We have I think a 12x14 screen tent that could be put up as well.
