Anybody have a drain tube on a Euro Reef?

Anybody have a drain tube on a Euro Reef? If so, how did you do it?

Do you mean for the main chamber? My Recirculating ER had one.

For the collecton cup. So you don't have to dump it so often. Aqua C has them, but Euro Reefs don't. I don't know is Euro Reefs don't have them for a reason or if that's just not a part of the design. I have to empty me collection cup at least once a week if not more often. It would be nice to only do that every two weeks or so. But I also don't know if going that long without cleaning the cup would affect performance.

I drilled a hole in the top of my collection cup wall and put a tube in it that goes to a bucket. It's just for emergencies and I end up emptying the cup about once a week anyway.
Needless to say if you decide to drill be careful not to crack the cup.

I installed a drain in my cs12-30 by just using a bulkhead fitting in the bottom (flat) part of the cup. Then screw in a nipple, add a hose with a shut-off valve on the other end and you are done. Since I wet skim, the riser tube stays clean on the inside (the only place that it needs to be clean), and I go months and months without cleaning the skimmer,

How hard was it to drill the bottom of the cup? Will it easily crack or it is sturdy plastic?

It was very easy. At least on my skimmer cup it was thick pvc which is very soft and easily drilled,
