Gauging interest 120g starphire

I purchased this setup used about 6 weeks ago and am thinking about selling it. I need the cash for a possible business move.

-120g 4x2x2 eurobraced 4 sided starphire w/ 6x6 left corner overflow

-(2) unused 1/4" acrylic backgrounds if you don't like the clear back. Deep blue and black

-Very nice folding glass top w/handle

-Custom 42" stand for viewing pleasure(Cherry stain & bullnosed corners)

-Custom 9" canopy maple top and bullnosed corners

This tank was purchased new with stand and canopy for over $3000. $1200 OBO.

Yes that is the same tank. I am only selling for the reason stated above. Please do not trash this thread as this setup is well worth every penny I am asking.

Thanks,
Jason

As stated before in other threads here on RC don't post anything if your not interested in the items for sale. The price is not open for rude discussion! If no one purchases this setup because of what I paid then I will keep it and come up with the funds by other means. I am selling at this price because this is my dream setup and when I have the money later it will cost me just what I'm asking if not more. Thank you for your consideration regarding this matter.

I will hopefully have pictures up this weekend as I don't have a digital camera at my side right now. You are more than welcome to stop by and take a look.

My biggest problem is that you lied about paying $3k for the setup, and it didnt include anything else to justify. It might be a nice setup, and WORTH $3k, but dont lie to your peers and expect them to not say anything.

I would pay $1200 for such a setup, even at a markup such as this. That's what you wanted to know right?

If you read the original post you will see that I stated that I purchased it used 6 weeks ago and new it was over $3,000. So before you go calling anyone a liar please be sure to read the posts thoroughly.

No hard feelings here guys. Just understand if you were in my shoes and had to choose between keeping this setup or putting it on the back burner for a business venture I'm sure you would do the same.

This was the visio tank right? I don't think they make starphire tanks and I've never heard of a 4 sided starphire tank either way. I'd love to see some pics with a white piece of paper behind the glass just to be sure

Even if he didn't do it on purpose, the wording is very deceiving and gives people the impression that he bought it new and its only 6 week old.

Visio does make Starfire. Why you would want four sides is a mystery.

I called the guy in Recycler but it was gone at 8am.
I would have used it instead of reselling it. Nothing wrong with reselling ,but should be kept on Recycler. I really wanted to get the 120, but I came into a 90 so thats what i'm setting up.

I would mark it up for my time and gas money.

A new business venture with $850 in capital? You should consider starting an used aquarium resale business... with your profit margin you could retire in no-time!

All joking aside, it is too bad people know what you paid. Given the same situation I'm sure they would try to get fair market value for the tank too. It's not your fault the original seller priced it to sell!

Good luck!
