bugs
i think some strange bug is coming out of my tank. its clear with black lines almost like stripes a long body and alot of legs hard to say which end is the head the last one i killed must have been around 4 inches long (would include a pic but i smashed it before i thought to) what is it and is it from my tank it looks kinda like a pod but big

it looked like (something ive never seen before) dont know what it eats or if it came out of the tank. i've seen at least four in the past few months. i would just like to know what the heck they are

Creepy but actually very good. ![]() House centipedes feed on spiders, termites, cockroaches, silverfish and other household pests. They do not cause damage to food or furniture. They kill their prey by injecting venom through their poison fangs and then feasting on the dead prey. For this reason, house centipedes are considered among the most beneficial creatures that inhabit human dwellings, but because of their alarming appearance few homeowners are willing to share a home with them. It is difficult for a house centipede to bite a human, and the effect is approximately that of a bee sting. It can cause problems for those allergic to the toxin. That's nothing, you should see the pedes at my moms house in Oahu. Caught a few over 12 inches and those feed on mice and rats. Nasty bites. ![]() |
