Epoxy and what types to avoid?

Hey all,

I am about to glue some frags using a type of epoxy I picked up at Home Depot called "Marine Fix Fast 2 part epoxy paste". It says it sets in 5 minutes and can be applied underwater. The company that makes it is called "Amazing Goop", and its industrial strength epoxy. I was just wondering what ingredients I should look out for in the epoxy that could cause problems in my tank and also whether you would advise against using epoxy all together and just sitck to only superglue.

Thanx for any help

Well, it is hard to say all the ingredients to avoid by chemical name, but I'd avoid any adhesives that claim to be antimildew, antibacterial, etc. Many people seem to use at least some brands of epoxies OK, but many of the ingredients in epoxies and superglues are not entirely benign and I'd be careful to not use too much at once.

I don't like epoxy because it gets hot and usually causes tissue loss at the base of the coral. Just my opinion...
