I don't know of any good sources of suitable dolomite, no.

Anyone else?

A fellow reefer told me about putting a handful of dolomite based aquarium gravel in my reactor to help keep my Mg levels high. I didn't notice any adverse effects after I started putting dolomite gravel in my reactor. With using a good ARM, you may not have to add extra Mg, as ARM is dead coral skelton, with almost all the elements needed for coral growth.

Dolomite based gravel is hard to find; at least where I live. If you want to get some, your best bet is an older independent LFS. From what I assume, dolomite aquarium gravel was used in Marine tanks years ago for buffering, but isn't as popular now.

I don't know if dolomite based gravel has significant amounts of phosphate or other unwanted consitituents; I'm curious as to what Randy would have to say, come to think of it.

I don't know what might be in aquarium substrate dolomite, but if it really is dolomite and is a reasonable size, then it should be OK. Remember that you cannot raise magnesium this way, only maintain it. Otherwise alkalinity will get way too high relative to calcium.

Dolomite is magnesium/calcium carbonate. The relative amounts of the two metals can vary.

I do not know what any zeo products contain.
