Skimming overkill?
I'm upgrading/getting rid of my Red Sea prism (rubbish) skimmer and bought a TMC V2 skimmer but it looks ridiculous on my 130ltr tank as the pump hangs in the water and is massive, so im thinking about buying a Deltec MCE600. My question is will this skimmer be too much and overskim my tank as its rated for far bigger capacity tanks than mine? If it is could I just skim for 12 hours instead of 24?

Delctec makes great skimmers. I don't think you can overskim a tank, so I'd go for it.

As ledford1 said, you cannot overskim a tank. Leave it running 24/7.
The Deltec will skim circles around the Prism. |

no such thing as overskimming... go for the Deltec if you can afford it.

Took my newly purchased skimmer back to the shop this morning and got a refund. Probably going to buy the MCE600, found one brand new at £179.99! Cheap huh?
