Skimming overkill?

I'm upgrading/getting rid of my Red Sea prism (rubbish) skimmer and bought a TMC V2 skimmer but it looks ridiculous on my 130ltr tank as the pump hangs in the water and is massive, so im thinking about buying a Deltec MCE600. My question is will this skimmer be too much and overskim my tank as its rated for far bigger capacity tanks than mine? If it is could I just skim for 12 hours instead of 24?

Delctec makes great skimmers. I don't think you can overskim a tank, so I'd go for it.

As ledford1 said, you cannot overskim a tank. Leave it running 24/7.

The Deltec will skim circles around the Prism.

no such thing as overskimming... go for the Deltec if you can afford it.

Took my newly purchased skimmer back to the shop this morning and got a refund. Probably going to buy the MCE600, found one brand new at Â£179.99! Cheap huh?

i would not worry about overskimming. i have a deltec ap851 on a 50 gallon tank. I had the mce600, i put it on ebay.
