what is the correct glue for pvc->vinyl tubing

I have an old Amiricle venturi skimmer that I want to repair. The problem is that the old venturi connector (pvc) has broken off at the entrance to the skimmer body. The pvc connection is 1/2", and I would like to repair it using piece of 5/8"vinyl tubing glued into the broken off pvc connection.

I have both pvc cement and weldon #3, but I don't know if either of those products work with vinyl. does anyone know a glue or cement that would be ok for this application?

I don't think there is a glue for that...is there?
I would think the soft tubing would not glue well to anything.

I looked at the weldon line of products and found a glue they sell for vinyl->abs plastic...will that work for pvc? I would rather find a product locally that could accomplish this instead of having to buy the weldon online...but...

You could use regular PVC glue and primer, I dont think you should have a problem. If it doesnt work it wont hurt anything.
