I've got Sirius for almost 2 years and I love it. Honestly, I think you'd be happy with either though. They both have a ton of channels, plenty of variety, and either is scores better than listening to FM.

I was a Sirius subscriber for a year and enjoyed it.
Then I got an iPod and hooked it into my car. No more Sirius for me (at least for now). I've got more music at my fingertips then I'll ever need.
The only reason I'll start up Sirius again is to listen to Stern if I really feel the need.

Sirius will have Howard Stern, but XM has baseball. Which is more important to you? I got hubby Sirius because he's a huge Howard Stern fan, and we can get the Yankee games on local radio, so we didn't need the rest of the baseball league. Great music stations, too!!!

Who on earth can listen to a baseball game on the radio? Sounds like Sirius is the way to go.

I rented a car this week and ended up with a Caddy with built-in XM... I was not impressed at all...

But the Onstar was great when I got lost

Sirius has the family deals too...can have up to 4 units on the same account. Each additional unit is $6.99. If you don't have family on it, you theoretically could have friends on it and split the cost saving you each some money...not that I know anyone that's done that of course

Sirius=Howard.
Why are you looking at XM?

LOL! Seriously though, look at the two services, they each have some exclusive, long-term contract deals w/ certain talents (Individuals, as well as sport leagues). If you like any of the people on service-Z, and the sports packages available there as well... it's a no brainer.
Likewise, I've heard of 'bad audio quality' complaints on XM, but yet to have heard that for Sirius (not to say it's not there as well, just haven't heard).

well my experience with xm is that they play all of the "popular" music. which means no hard rock or heavy metal, which to me is an extremely bad thing.

I have Sirius and love it. Directv has added XM and I use it, but to compare the two Sirius is the way to go and the way I will stay.

I have both and prefer XM it has a much deeper/larger playlist. If you like top 40 rock songs Sirius might be a better choice. As for Stern thats why i went to XM radio years ago, NYC has two rock stations and he was on one.
Try them online free and decide for yourself. Both are better then FM.
