Adding Moonlights/Actinics with Halide Pendant?

Hi all,

For those of you that use halide pendants over your nanos, I was wondering what you do about either having moonlights or additional actinics.

I have a nanocube 24g and am considering removing the top and using a halide pendant. But I really like having actinics, or at least moonlighting for dusk/dawn effect. I also like having a neat, clean look to my tank (not lots of equipment everywhere).

Any solutions?

Well, I went with the P14 bulb specifically because of no actinics....

But, if you wanted moonlights, the corallife 1W moonlight could mount to the back of your tank and with the "flexible" arm shine into the tank.

I've kicked that one around for a while now....

Hmm... how much coverage do those coralife LED's give? I see they do have a reflector.

Reason I ask is because the stock 24g hood comes with 2 LED's build-in, and it's not enough... it only lights up 2 'spots' on the tank (I think they should have used 3).

Not sure, but they're also 1watt...when combined with the reflector...it could be substantial
