So why do GH's never have concrete slab floors???
If I were going to be working in a greenhouse a lot it seems it would be nicer to have a concrete floor instead of gravel but I've never seen a pic with a GH with a concrete floor. You could put a couple drains in for drainage. Is there something about concrete that doesn't hold heat well? I know its more expensive but it can't be that bad.

Problems with slab floors:
1) more expensive 2) need additional permits 3) slippery when wet 4) can grow mold 5) harder to deal with buried pipes I don't know of any benefits besides possibly a more stable surface. But even then, packed limerock with cement pavers solves that problem. |

if you are serious about greenhouse propin..the most obvious reason..you should try to cover most the floor space with vats. So way waste money on concrete..that can go to the heat bill
![]() except the walkways.I have concrete pavers in my current greenhouse..on the little floor space avalible. |

I like the pavers in my greenhouse. They have cracks for drainage and you can place them only where needed.

Coralfarm'n,
I am about a 2 hour drive up 17 from Willmington. We probably should get together one day. Perhaps do a swap of something. Don't you have a greenhouse? |
