Exclamation ORCA Meeting - September 24, 2005

It’s meeting time!

This months ORCA meeting will be this Saturday, September 24th. The Rickman Family will be hosting the meeting. Directions are on the ORCA website. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will start promptly at 7:30 p.m. This month’s hands-on demonstration will be on CORAL FRAGGING given by Jon Clements, ORCA Treasurer and George Toole, ORCA President. They will be demonstrating how to frag different types of corals and the techniques they use. It will be a great demonstration you won’t want to miss.

Shortly following the presentation will be our traditional frag event. All of ORCA proceeds will be donated to help the people that have been affected by hurricane Katrina. During this meeting ORCA will also be collecting personal donations from the membership to help the people that have been affected by hurricane Katrina. ORCA will match the personal donation up to $1000.00. Please come out and support the cause.

The drive may be long but it will be worth your while. Between the fragging demonstration and the benefit to help the people that have been affected by hurricane Katrina; Jeremy has a number of reef tanks set up for your viewing pleasure. No drooling please!

Guests are always welcome. There is no fee to attend. Bring your friends, family and donations.

Jeremy’s address is: 1002 Dewsbury Way Kissimmee, FL 34758

If you have any problems with directions you can email Jeremy or give him a call at (407) 847-4115.

See everyone this weekend!

Joanne Toole (Assily)
ORCA Vice President

This Just In!!!

This Just In!

The Logical Reef unfortunately can not make it to the next ORCA meeting, but they will be there in spirit. They have decided to send a box of corals for the frag auction and All the proceeds that their goodies bring in will be donated to the Katrina fund. Thank you so... much Bryan and Lee at the Logical Reef for helping out! We all need to stick together in times like these!

Sincerely,
Joanne
ORCA VP

That's awesome Joanne and WTG Logical Reef on being so generous.

Do you think we can have a great turnout? I'm trying to think of something special frag wise I can bring to donate to the cause.

More Updates!

Sea in the City is going to donating to Charities that are helping reunite people with their pets. Anyone with extra pet supplies (leashes, collars, pet carriers, food etc.) can bring them by Sea in the City or to this weekends meeting. These supplies will be donated to Pet Rescue by Judy, a local organization that is taking in many of the abandoned pets to find new homes for them.

On top of all that, Sea in the City will also be donating several items to the ORCA frag auction for the Katrina Benefit. That's awesome! Thanks Marcye!

So, come on out and help.

Thank you,
Joanne
