Question Time to Replace Bulb?

I have a 12 gallon nano cube. I thought that the 24 watt PC bulbs were supposed to be changed out about every 6 months, or so...

I went down to the LFS and bought a couple of replacements and after looking at the packaging from JBJ, I see that they recommend replacing the bulbs every 14-16 months.

What do you all recommend?

Thanks,

Jake

Thanks everyone. I'll put the replacements on the shelf for a while.
