massive snail spawn what to do
i've noticed i got around 200 + (just what i can see on my glass) or more snails that are about a millimeter big. Should i keep them in or attempt to take them or what, i do have snails in my tank so i'm geussing they spawned from them. all reef safe janitor like snails.

Not to worry they won't last to long, something will eat them.

Do you have Strombus snails? They reproduce really well in tanks.

The hermits are going to have a feast if they make there way off the glass.

These guys are harmless, I have a bunch of them in my tank too. They seem to be nocturnal though, cos I don't see then that often during the day, but at night when I shine a flashlight I can see them all coming out.

as long as you dont think they are a harmful species I wouldnt worry about it. After a while the competition for food will weed out the weak ones and you will get a balanced population.

I agree with sammiefish, the population will balance itself out. I had a similar experience in my first reef tank.

ya i'm hoping i get to sell some of them or something and i don't think mine are nocternal, they're out 24/7 they don't move very fast, only if they ate weird macro algae that i have, well i got a tang that will hopefully do that now
