I am in the process of purchasing a set of MH lighting for my 75 gal tank. I have researched and came down to 2 brands of retrofits: CSL and Hamilton. It seems that Hamilton retros are cheaper than CSL. My question is in regards to quality.
Anybody here uses them and has comments in regards to quality of fixture.

I am considering the 2X250MH+2X55PC retro.

Thank you and Happy New Year!!!

I run Hamiltons and have had good luck. I know of quite a few other hobbiests with the same story, but on the other hand I have had no experience with CSL. My only caution would be make sure the ballasts are made to fire the bulbs you want. I.E. I have read that ballasts are 'tuned' to optimally run specific bulbs. (The Iwsaki guy wrote the article) If you want to run Iwaski bulbs make sure it will run those.

Just my 2cents,
