Red cyno problem
I have a outbreak of this crap in my 90, what is the best way to get it off of my lr? Do i have to pull the lr out, or can i get this stuff off while still in the tank?

Try lifting and shaking the rock. It tends to be more of a film that settles on things. You can often just shake the rock and it will float off. I would try that first. Then just net the slime in one large sheet.

Try siphoning it off with some air tubing. If you have cyano somethings wrong with the water... high nutrient level, nitrates, not enough water flow, etc. I'd check the parameters and do a large water change otherwise it'll just keep coming back. You may also want to consider adding more snails and crabs or maybe a starfish to help keep the rocks clean.

i had a bad outbreak awhile ago also. sorry. Thats how I found out my RO system took a dump. Since I changed water, it all cleared up. I waited till bubbles formed under the growth. then it lifts off really easily. If it gets on the rock. Get an old toothbrush and start scrubbin'. But scrub it OUT OF THE TANK. Any particle that gets loose will start a new festering colony. It is a major bummer. Let us know how it goes.

if it isn't due to your water supply... then more water flow/movement would keep aide in keeping the red slime from settling
