blenny’s

Ok
How many blenny’s can I have in my 90 g
can i keep 2 or just 1
I have lots of hair algae for them to eat
And I probably have hair algae because I tend too over feed
So food wise I don’t think they will starve
Bicolor Blenny herbivore
Lawnmower Blenny omnivore
Thanks
Ken

I think they will fight. A standard 90 is not very long. I made the mistake of placing two neon gobies in a 125 – one eventually died before I could trap it. They are very territorial fish. Just my 2 cents.

I had a bicolor and a lawnmower in a 90gal. The bicolor chased the lawnmower blenny, I had to rescue the lawnmower blenny from the overflow twice, NOT FUN it took about an hour each time.
I removed the bicolor and the rock he was hiding in and put him in a 10gal. My lawnmower only eats algea. My bicolor eats everything I put in the tank. I also didn't have much rock in the
tank, If your tank is full of rock it might be ok. Hope this helps.

Depends on the blenny ... but some are very territorial and can be mean. My Midas is gorgeous, might be worth considering as it's a planktivore [swims high up in the water column] ... but picks on other fish there too

If multi-blenny, I'd get ones that occupy very different niches + would search all over for others who have had them together. I'm sure someone tried it ... and just might save you sadness.

I agree you have to have plenty of space. my 150 gal has A LOT or LR so they all have plenty of space to hide and they keep to themselves

I would also not recomend the lawnmower and bi-color combo as it has not worked for me.

I had a scooter and a bicolor in my tank without any problems. I would advise against the bi color and lawnmower. Imo they will but heads every chance they get.
