Chemicals shelf life

I was wondering what the typical reef suppliment shelf life was and would there be any benifit to refrigerating them. I know this is sort of a gerneral question.

Too general, I think.

Some need refrigeration: Selcon, certain phytoplankton additives, etc.

Some do not: calcium and alkalinity supplements

Some might: iodide (I don't, but it might retard oxidation to iodate or I2).

Is there a particular additive in which you are interested?

No I didnt have anything particular in mind. For the same reason that asprin has an experation date on it. I wasnt sure how long these bottles like moblyium, or iodine were considered "fresh" and non-toxic. I wasnt sure becuase I know nothing about chemistry.
