Drilling a 75

I'm picking up a 75 tomorrow to upgrade my FOWLR. I'm going to get it drilled so I don't have to worry with the overflow issues I love so much. Problem is the bottom is most likely tempered, so I will have to drill the back. I can;t use a normal standpipe overflow because it will drain from the back instead of the bottom. What location would be best for the hole locations. I want to put (2) one inch holes for drainage and just used inefficient stand alone returns (HOB). I was thinking of building an acrylic ovewrflow around it and placing it in the middle of the tank. Any ideas on how best to do this? If in the center of the back glass, how far down. If not in the center, where? How can it make it quite? Got enough noise in the living room.

There are a lot of ways you can do this but it would be easier if I drew them out as opposed to tryin to explain them and as you've said you were coming by the store, that shouldn't be a problem.

You want the holes higher up, near where you would have the top of your standpipe. Do a search for algaeman's new tanks. He put his in the back.

Baker Glass will do it for $25 a hole. Someone(maybe boofer?) posted somewhere else that will do it cheaper.....can't remember where.

Oddly, I just found a 75 RR (with durso) Oceanic with stand and canopy for $300. I may be doing that if better pics of it look good. I'd have to figure out how to pick it up since it won't all fit in an Acura... Huh...
