Halide Quesiton

I currently have 175watt 10k Ushio bulbs, could i use 20k with this same setup.

? as long as its the same wattage .. all 10k 14k 20k is , is the spectrum \kelvielivjkenvindifodvj n of the bulb .. the higher the number the more blue it appears to us.

skuntking your 10 k's will give you better growth, and you have your vho for the blue color. So I would keep them if I were you.

I've herd 14k's are the most amazing thing ever though for growth and color.... you might wanna look into that if you want to change.

those 14k pheonix bulbs are delicous like kitten nipples

I have 14k and I had better growth out of the 10 I had before. I am going with 10k xm next, I hear they are great for growth and still give you the color you would get with a 14k.

For what it's worth - we got the best results for growth with a combination of 10,000k MH and VHO Actinic. I tried the 12,000k Sunbursts and 14,000K Hamiltons. Neither one thrilled me. Now I'm running T5's - only because I was threatened with great bodily harm if I hooked up the chiller in our new house.......

Needless to say I really miss the shimmer from the MH's

ya im running 4 65watt blue pcs plus the 2 175 10k's so i guess im sticking with the 10k's, just wanted to make sure, thanks for the help guys
