Smile It's here......finally!

I finally picked up my new tank yesterday. I'm very pleased with it and want to thank Frank at Tropical Oasis for helping me out with it. It's an Aqua Aquarium Eurobraced Tank(non-starphire). The dimensions are 48"x34"x24". It will be an in-wall tank and I will start a thread on the progress of it. Hopefully in 2 weeks it will be up and running! Now, to find a couple of brawny men to help me get it out of the car!

Roland

ROFL! Man, that thing barely fit into your car!

That's gonna be an awesome lookin' tank. You planning to run your old tank still?

I'd help you out, but my back hurts just looking at it, plus you're too far.

Nice looking tank. how come the back does not look like swiss cheese? or is it that there is not a good photo of the back due to the fact that it is in a car still Well i guess that you can have a garden of white acros if you work fast enough and just fill it with a bunch of hose water and put it on your front lawn. looks like a nice upgrade. Did you ever get that algae under controll? Aqua aquariums can do some fancy stuff with glass tanks. Hope you enjoy it.

Roland. Nice tank. have fun setting it up. Are you going to try any new tricks with the set up? Plumbing, lighting, etc?

THANKS GUYS!

Where do I start!lol

DaveP - Your defintely the brawn I'm looking for! Should be a nice day for a drive tomorrow!lol

Steve - It's going into the living room wall. Just finished the stand today. My bro-n-law and I tried to lift it on it and couldn't do it! That 1" bottom glass really makes it heavy!

Jimmy, Joseph, Richard, Garrick & Surfy - Thanks for the offer! I'll definitely need at least 3 hombres to lift this bad boy up!

Ramon - It was a tight fit and I had to ride with the trunk open as I had my son with me or else I could've rolled up the back seats and slide it all the way in. BTW, those pics came from my new G6. Still haven't mastered the camera though.

Wilbur - You know you want one now!

David & Madison - I'd better not have my tank up before your guy's!

Paul - There is a party and your invited! Make sure you bring your Doan's or at least some kind of back support!

Larry - I'm looking forward to installing my Ocean Motions 4 way as it will be plumbed to the side of the tank. No more ugly powerheads and goodbye Tunze! I will be going BB and hopefully the look will grow on me as I know I'll miss the nice look of white sand.

The tank is an Aqua Aquarium and I was a bit skeptical at first cause the price was half of what Leemar was going to charge me and they assured me a quality tank and they did exceed my expectations! Solid construction, nice polished edges(too bad it will be covered with molding) and that nice thick 1" bottom glass! I did have more straps holding it in place on the drive home but this tank is so heavy, it prolly wouldn't have budged.
It is a swiss cheese tank and I'll try to get new pics up now that the stand is complete. I'm setting this tank up for 2 reasons. I lost the algae battle with my old tank and now, having a tank in the staircase, I can store all my reef stuff in there and save room in the garage as well as space in the house with this in-wall tank.
Tropical Oasis is in the city of Alhambra.
I will need to find a home for my large Sailfin tang as that will prolly be the only fish I'm going to leave out as it might not be big enough for him. I'll be keeping all my angels though.
