Talking Tyree LE Green polyp Sunrise

I just recieved my Tyree LE today. Yahoooo!

Very cool piece. Steve originally thought it was a Leptastrea pruinosa.

I think he is not sure about what it is at this time. It may also be Montiporas foveolata or M. venosa?

My picture taking skills are terrible or maybe its the camera, Yeah that's it, its the camera.

My pics are terrible. You really can't get a good sense of what you are seeing in this pic.
Go here and click on the limited edition link and read what Steve says about it.

After looking at that I feel the same. Monti denae. I am no expert, but it looks identical. send a bump to boker420, he and I got the same frag. They were Free. I like it though. Nice piece. It says the backround is orange. Is that true. Mine is more brown.

This is definitely bright orange with green polyps.

For fish all I have right now are a family of McCosker wrasse and a pair of black ocellarius.

This a pic of the male McCosker. They are sort of rare. I have had some pretty cool stuff before my divorce. I had a Griffis angel and Pylie wrasse pair.

I am always looking for stuff but it takes money and patience to get the real rare stuff.

That is a nice fish. I have always wanted a Black Tang for some reason. They only come from the christmas islands. Not real common.

hey steve ours looks like that but this one looks like its an encrusting not a plating and ours is a plating. unless this one just isn't big enough yet and it is still establishing its base. that could be. then i's say its the same one. funny we got ours for free though. its not what you know its who you know.

tyree said on the site that it is encrusting.

also, it doesn't appear to exhibit any characteristics of a danae, except that it encrusts... though many coral farmers call anything that doesnt plate or grow branches a danae to make more sales.

very nice piece. wish i had seen that one go up, too late to get on the list now for any reasonable aquisition

It is definitely encrusting and the colors are intense on it. All I have right now are frags in my tank and this one is like a beacon. You can see it from across the room.

I am no expert at coral ID but I do not think its danae. It does not look like the ones I have seen.

Nick I'll put you on my list. It will only be 2 years not 5. Actually at reef farmers it is 2 years now I think.

Ray and Armando I will keep you guys on the top of the list. Not sure how fast it grows but when its time.

Armando I want to get by your place sometime and check out what you may have kicking around your frag tank. It has been a long time. Maybe I'll hook up with Gustavo and we can take ride out?
