The Best Reef Pictures, BAR NONE!

I received a wonderful gift from my sister in the Philippines, a newly released book entitled "Bahura: A Passage through Philippine Reefs" by Scott Tuason, an award winning photographer. It's a big format coffee table book filled with color photographs of reef life. Animals are also ID'ed by their common as well as scientific names.

BTW, Bahura is the Philippine name for reef. I'll remember to bring my copy to the next meeting for those interested in browsing. It's published in the Philippines, ISBN 971-929-891-X released in Dec 2004. Don't know if it will be distributed here.

Want to check out some of the author's pictures? Here's a link to his website. I know someone who will enjoy the cephelodops section of the exhibit

Wow.

The best part is the nudibranchs. The cephalopods are amazing too. His webmaster is a Flash stud, too.

Thanks Jim. Nice share.

Jim, that book is amazing. Nicest coffee table book I've seen yet.

I've looked on Amazon and google'd it, and can't find it yet.

Here's an article in Health Today Online that discusses it.

Would you know which book store in the PI sells the book?
I have a buddy who is currently on vacaction there and is due back in a couple weeks. I'm sure he wouldn't mind bringing back a few books if anyone is interested.

I saw several copies at Fully Booked, a bokstore located at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati. Price was PHP2,895 (if memory serves me right), ~$53 equivalent.

It might also be available from National Bookstore, which has branches all over.

jedininja & teachermark - my buddy just returned from his trip in the PI, but was only able to locate one book. Apparently, they are hard to come by over there since the photographer had recently had a book signing.
Sorry
