Coral Boy Farms Rocks!!!

Well I had to just stand there in awe as I took in all those tanks that were full of frags and life, WOW. That was definitely worth the drive. I would be a poor person if he was any closer LOL.

Here is the things that we picked up.

Nice Corals!!!

Did you see any nice "neon" colored monti's or zoos? I am always on the lookout for a frag or 2 to add to my collection.

How are his prices?

I am looking forward to the next meeting and seeing his set-up.

I hope he does not run me out of a job though. J/K

I don't think he is a member of FVRC yet from what he said. But he told me he would love to join and really wants to host a meeting. Im trying to steer him to this website and get him to this part of the forum.

moujon,
Its just Flash and a little php and xml. very very easy to use.

You guys really need to visit Coral Boy Farms if you are looking for larger sized corals. If you head up there, tell him T.J. sent you. Im going there this weekend to pick up two more corals. He packs everything up real nice for you. He has stryrofoam boxes and even has CO2/Heatpacks if you have a long way to drive. It takes 1hour 20 minutes to get there from Oshkosh. If you have any questions, just call him at 920.388.0342 and ask for Kevin.

If you are wondering about prices, I got this blue electric clam for $40

and a huge Colt Coral for $40. I also got this Purple Goniopora for $40

Im not sure if he had either of those...he has so many corals it took as like 30 minutes to look at everything. And we probably still overlooked some things.

yes Gypsy, his coral farm is a sight to see. I was there again this weekend (my fiancee's parents live in Kewanee which is 10 minutes from his place) and I got another coral and a True Percula Clownfish. I'll take some pics later tonight(if my maroon clownfish doesnt beat him up too much!)

Yup and so far the maroon hates him. Since the tank lights went off he finally left him alone. I might have to get rid of him if the maroon keeps chasing him around. Hes kind of small right now. Should I put him in a hang on back refugium until he fattens up and can stand up to my maroon?

Basically, from everything I've read you're going to have to remove one. Trying to keep different species of clown fish in a tank that small is highly unrecommended. Even with a bigger tank they suggest having a wall of live rock between two species so they can't see each other. I guess just the sight of a different species is cause for stress.

To add to it you have one of the most aggressive clowns with the maroon and the true perc is very docile. If I was a betting man, I'd say the perc wouldn't make it through the week. The maroon sees the tank as his territory and more than likely won't leave the perc alone.

I wanted to add a different species of clown into my 65 gal. and after looking into it decided against it....for the same problems you're having. Personally, I'd recommend one goes in the HOB refugium until you can find a different home.

Debaser - Check out the links below for more info:

Keeping clownfish: multiple clowns and mixing species
http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...hreadid=245520

Since clownfish are territorial, we know they will defend an area in our tanks. This means that other fish, especially other clownfish will not receive a warm welcome when in their tank/territory. With other clownfish in the tank they will be considered threats to taking over the existing clown(s) territory and will most like be dealt with harshly.

The first one is an ancanthastrea and the second one is an Acropora Nana (someone correct me if im wrong with the acro).

As far as price, i bought alot that day so i dont remember. but the acro i think was around 50 bucks or so.

When I took the pictures just my T5 actinics were on. Still ramping up my MH hours slowly, since i just put them on 2 weeks ago.
