Edible for humans Macroalgea

What macroalgea is edible for humans. Is it Ulva Fasciata? My mom loves seaweed from those Sushi bars, and she's only interested in my tank if I can grow her some seaweed.

With all the chemicals that aquarists dump into their tanks, I would really reconsider comsuming greens from your tank. Grow some for show, but buy her a pack to munch.

Yeah, I told her I had poisonous Zoo's and chemicals in my tank, and eating algea from it probably isn't safe. Just wanted to check if anyone has done this.

processed seaweed is already so cheap at the store, why take the risk?

Feather caulerpa is edible, but I dont remember where I read that... Some culture eats it regularly...

But thats harvested from the ocean...
