I turned mine into a kalk reactor. After less than 12 hours the holes i tapped for the fittings cracked and leaked. Maybe I shouldnt have tapped directly into the acrylic huh? Got an aqua c now. Much better.

Yeah I wish I did not even get it for free. Thats right free. And it has not worked at all. For the money that it cost, ahh never mind, its a waste but im going to try to make something of it. You know maybe a mini trash can or a water fountain or something.

My Seaclone-150 has been working just fine for 1.5 years now... I'm sure a REAL skimmer would do a superior job, but this one works pretty well.

I have mine in my sump, and have mader a special water return device that reduces bubbles, so that has helped a lot as well.

The biggest problem that I have, is calcium blockage in the airline tubing, that has to be blown out on a weekly basis. I am planning to do the bio-wheel mod this week though, for better bubbles.

As for the Skilter, they are great for certain applications, such as small quarantine tanks and light duty skimmers for nano tanks. My neighbor has a 12g JBJ Nano that forever had scum on the top water, so we modified the back of the tank and the hood, to be able to add in a Skilter-250... His corals are once again thriving and the skimmer is pulling all kinds of crap out of his system.

In the trash

I actually had/have a seaclone that worked while it worked. It quit working when I quit using it so I guess its broken.
