Cool Some amateur photos. - around 4MB.

Greetings,

Long time lurker here

Just took some photos on my Digital Rebel with a borrowed lens, I think they turned out OK but wanted to check with the pros here
I'm a total amatuer so don't go too hard on me

First ones are with both MH and actinics on, and the later ones only with actinics.

Any comments?

Great photos! I really like the one with the zoos.

The one comment i'm inclined to make isn't about the file size, rather the physical size. Many people don't have large enough monitors, or choose not to set their monitors at a high enough resolution to prevent scrolling. IMO, you should resize to make the longest dimension of the photo be a maximum of 640 to 800 pixels as a courtesy to others.

Again, wonderful shots. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks a lot

Desert Fox I see your point about the sizes, sometimes I forget not everyone runs their monitors in the higher resolutions

I'll make my future shots smaller, and resize these if a lot of people complain

Dude, how high do you run your monitor? I run 1280x1024 (x2) and I had to scroll.

But anyways, those pics are way cool! great job! I usually post my pics at 800 across, makes it easier on dialup peeps too.

siggi, great shots! i don't know about everyone else, but i love to see big images, you get to see the detail zoomed in without so much graininess, but maybe you should post a link to your image hosting site, while posting the smaller preview pics on your posts for the NETZEROers. but don't you think people checking out these photography forums should invest in some dsl or highspeed internet =P

anyway send us some more pictures, or a link to your archives! =)
