Power Backup
What are folks using for power backup in case AC power goes out. I live in Fl. where thunder storms can not out power at any time. I planning on buying a gas generator just incase we get a big outage, but for the 1 - 2 hour outages, I was thinking of getting an inverter. The question is What size. The main thing I would want to continue to run is the main pump (mag 9). Could I use a power backup like the ones sold for computers? If so what minimum watt size do I want?

I use my APC ups form my PC when or if the power goes out. Only need a little power to run the return pump just to keep things going for a short time. I also have a 340w inverter that I could use if the power went out for an extended time. Just was wondering why you posted here, on our meager little AZ forum??
