Any LFS in the San Ramon area?

I am in San Ramon on business travel from Washington, DC and would like to visit any local fish stores. Are there any in the area?

Thanks,

Mike

I'm not sure how close it is but try Tropical Paradise in San Leandro. They are one of the best in our area. If you go anywhere it should be there.

The cool thing about that place is that the owner is super cool. The fish and coral selection isn't enormous, but it is quality. The 20 minute drive to Tropical Paradise is worth it.

i've checked out this website before, but i was under the impression that it is an online business. is there an actual store to visit, or is it by appointment only?

It use to be by appointment - He has since opened up a store 11/03 in the blackhawk plaza. It is one of the cleanest LFS I have ever seen!

Thanks for the info. I went to both stores. I bought a blue tang, yellow tang and fire shrimp from Aquarium Solutions. Very good prices and very friendly. I told them I am flying home and they did a great job packing the fish for me so I could check them as baggage. We will see how they hold up. It has to be better than the way they get here in the first place. My flight is only five to six hours.

I also went to Tropical Paradise. WOW! Great SPS selection. I have never seen anything like their surge system. I am putting one of those on my system as soon as I get home!

The fish are doing great. They are both eating. The packaging was perfect and there were no problems. Thanks for your help.
