How do you post pictures.
Can someone explain to me how to post pictures. I heard that you have to have a web host before you can post them. Can't you simply pull them out of your picture files and imput them into the post???
Thanks for your help. |

You can add them as an attachment during posting and it shows up like a link. If you want the picture to appear "inline" it must be hosted on a site somewhere.

For those of us born before the invent of the carseat lap-top, what exactly does that mean? I try to attach a picture, and it says it's too big. I've resized with a program I got off the internet, but that didn't work either. I have read the thread on posting pictures, but I'm really, really slow with this stuff. If somebody has the time, and many of you on this site do, try to explain it in very simple terms.

To put it inline, the picture needs to be on a webserver. Once it's there you use the following code in your post to display it:
{img}http://www.myhost.com/myimage.jpg{/img} only you use [ and ] instead of { and }. Get it?

Nugio,
Resize your pictures to 600x800 pixels...That's should do it. What you posted is waaaay to small. I'm guessing you were just practicing but I've found that 600x800 fits just fine. posjr, I don't think yahoo allows external linking.

Well if I click on your link, I get a "You do not have permission to get the requested URL from this server" from yahoo...it's not allowing people that aren't logged in to your yahoo account to view your pictures is my guess.
Who is your ISP? Mike

Those hosted pictures are so much better, I think that I need to start looking into that.
Thanks
