eTropicals, Most amazing deal ever

I just received my order from etropicals.com. I got the 4 corals for $99 (includes shipping). I ordered a chili, gsp, hammer and orange gorgonian. The Hammer is the most beautiful - largest I have ever seen. It is about 9" in length, and 3 - 4" in width. The cost alone for this coral at my lfs would be over $120. The chili was nice sized. I got to larger than fist sized rocks with gsp, and an 7" tall gorgonian. Everything is healthy and doing great. It was packaged well, and received it on time. I have now chosen my primary coral ordering place. I will post pics when I get home.

hkriegal;
Sorry but I have not had a chance in the last couple of days to check out bulletin boards so I am just seeing your report today on your shipment. I am very glad that everything arrived in good order and that you are happy with the product you recieved, I take it you were able to find room for that Hammer coral! Look forward to working with you in the future!

I just got my order, Reef Package #2. I added a pair of True Perculas. I just got the shipment, everything is packaged very nice. Could not ask more. This is really nice.

I dropped the CB shrimp, subbed a sally. No problems, super easy, and I got it the next day.

I wanted to order from Saltwaterfish.com, but, the don't respond to emails.

I am in the process of acclimating my animals. Let's hope they all make this step.

etropicals thimbs up

I have had atleast 6 orders of livestock from etropicals and have never been dissappointed. There livestock is only exceeded by the excellent customer service Jack at etropicals gives every time. Since I'm lucky enough to live in south florida I look forward to visiting etropicals in person. Excellent rating service and livestock. Rick

I ordered from them about a year ago. 99% avirved alive and in good shape. they included extras that made up for the loss so everything was great. this was my first live mail order and they made it great. good service and all that yada yada yada... they even let me switch the hermits for snails on the package

to JDT
it is good to see you guys are still up and running because I am in need of snails at the moment. you do need a low end (50-60)
hermit free & and crab free package though.

aLittletank,
Just exactly what are you looking for in this crabless package? I have been thinking about deleting a couple of packages and added some new one's especially now that we have both of the farm raised queen conch and fighting conchs available and in stock.

I have been leaning towards a package with a list of items and would let the customer choose which items they want, still trying to work out the final cost to do this one...has become a difficult challenge because of the tank sizes people have and the items. Let me get some feedback on what you would want available in this or any new package!

Glad to see more people are getting wise to reef goats (hermit crabs) and how nice it is to have crab free tanks.

JDT...
The best solution for a package is to list quantity price breaks for each item that would be used in a clean up package so that a person could get the exact amount they need for their size and style tank. Some places do this and it is real handy when all you need is 50 of one type snail. I looked on your web site and did not see the queen conches listed. I have one that has grown to about 4 1/2" and it is great.

Snailman,

I have the queen conch's listed in our new web page Aquacultured & Farm Raised Store. As a mail order business I am not sure if I should list the address in this section, so for now I will let you check on our website.

Your idea is kind of on the same line of thought I have been thinking about! I have my idea of the items to list, let me here what you think should be listed.

Thanks
JDT

I also have been very pleased with e-tropicals! They delivered, for $12, two HUGE sponges in perfect health! One was a beautiful orange and the other was red. Also, I got an amazing batch of blue chromis and a red star that is beautiful too. Nothing died in shipment. Each blue chromis was shipped in its own bag too! Great service and great livestock.

Here's that cute star and those sponges:

Hi All!
I think dealing with Etropicals has been a great experience for me....they are very generous with their pieces and extra item(s) they put in...Overall, I will definitely do business with them again

New to coral buying

I see that etropical.com is offering 4 corals for $99.99 while Jeff's Exotic is offering 9 corals for the same price. Both seem to be highly regarded. Can someone why I wouldn't go with Jeff's?

Thanks!

Well, since I've already stated my opinion of jeff's in prior vendor experience threads, I'll just say that the corals that you get from jeff are small (2-3, 4 MAX inches, and they look half dead.

Now, I haven't ordered from etropicals, but he sure sounds better then jeffs.

the difference is that eTropicals has the shipping and box charge already included in their package price. Jeff's is just the coral amounts.

Jeff will ad 65 for shipping and 10 for a box. It's not apples to apples.
