the old one is in st. cloud. i am in redwood.

hey jerr,

started filling it with RODI water this week, i have already dumped in over 20 gal and it is taking forever I am hoping to bringing about 5# LR home with me on thurs to start the seeding. then start bringing it all down slowly.

painted the back of this tank a lighter "skyblue" and i don't know if i like it as much as the dark blue.

I am thinking about doing a DIY lighting canopy with a MH and NO flor's. I have been looking at a bunch of regular market bulbs and their ratings. I went to wal-mart and found some 40w 48" made by GE that are rated at 5000k, a CRI of 90 and claiming to be full spectrum! only $6!!! They are the "sunshine" model. do you think that these are legit.

gotta love small towns. Only one other SW reefer in town, i gotta get ahold of this guy

John

I was at Home Depot and they had some 40W 6500K daylight bulbs. I bought ge 6500k T8 bulbs and have had good luck with them.

I do not remember how much the T12 bulbs were but the T8 I had to get from Grainger and they were about $6.50 each, I believe the T12 were a lot less.
