Ethical Factors Of Non-Euthanasic Killing

I have a question/topic for discussion here, and I am prepared for any negativity. I hereby promise not to get angry or combative; I would hope others agree with this notion.

When a fish, (by means other than disease or infestation) is dying (with no hope of recovery), how do you feel about feeding the fish to a larger predator as a means of disposal?

Cull it! Don't feed it to another fish, that will only pass on disease if that is the problem.

What about "by means other than disease or infestation" ?

If it's obvious the fish has been victemized, poisoned by less than proper water conditions, or just simply overstressed?

Don't take the risk if it is something that has not visibly manifested itself. Better safe than sorry.

Don't spread the sickness

I agree. If you don't know what is wrong, don't feed the sick fish to a healthy one.
On the other hand, I feed live food and fish with live bait.

I would feed a bigger fish a dying fish for diease reasons that may not be visable and I wouldn't do that to the dying fish. I would just let the fish die naturally.
