Any idea what this is ?

Ok, so i was doing some maint on my mother-in-laws nano cube.
I i found something just under the substrate, at first i thought it was a penny, its about that size and thin.

And now i found something similar in my 55 reef tank.

Any idea what they are ? Are they live critters.

This is the top of the one that is in the 55 reef tank, its solid white,

Bottem side of the one in the 55

This is the one from the mother in laws nano, this one has some color to it.

Basically. To be more precise it's the trap door (operculum) of a dead snail.

A Cat's Eye Snail has a really cool Operculum...

Here's looking at you, kid!

***I know what you meant, Donny. Just had to pester you a little

Don't listen to them its nothing more the buried treasure and I had a tank full of them at one time. Id wait till I had enough to cash in at the bank before I would remove them from the tank. Lol!

I took both of them to the casino last night and asked if i could cash them in, some nice gentlemen with guns escorted me out, and asked me not come back. Some people just dont appreciate the Reef Keeping Hobby.

You mean screaming at the top of your lungs "You'll never take me alive, coppers!" isn't going to get you back in?
