Shrimp are very sensitive and have to be acclimated very slowly. I usually drip acculimate for 3-4 hours and that's assuming the salinity of the store water is fairly close to mine. Peppermint shrimp also don't like being suddenly exposed to bright light - they're noctural.

bright light would kill a shrimp?

if you used cured lr and your params are all in check then i would imagine it was probably the acclimation, how did you acclimate? as younglcy said shrimp are very sensative when it comes to acclimation, and since it died so quickly that would be my best guess as for COD (cause of death).

it sounds like an acclimation error, like everyone else said shirmp are really sensitive to that kind of thing and if your salinity with the lfs and your tank where way different it could have shocked it causeing death.
but if thats not the case i would keep an eye on the clowns if they start to twitch real quick or show signs of heavy breatheing i would recomend you take them out

You can't just acclimate shrimp for temperature. Next time, add small amounts of tank water every 15 minutes. When the bag is near full, empty half of it out (NOT into the tank

I swear it makes me so mad when people who go by what the lfs person tells them to do or what is written on those bags to just float on top of tank for 15mins loose their animals. Not everyone has a forum to go too, they are just following directions. It should be a law that when selling live things then they should made sure they give the buyer correct acclimating instructions! Sorry for your loss!!
